Blue Kuna Smokehouse is a wood-fired love letter to Plymouth, built by hometown chef and pitmaster Randall Kuna.
After decades in high-pressure kitchens, private cheffing, and ten years refining Blue Kuna sauces and rubs, he’s brought it all home to 600 W. Ann Arbor Trail.

Out back, a custom smoker burns kiln-dried cherry, apple, and oak for a cleaner, more nuanced smoke on brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and rotating specials like Jamaican chicken wings, bourbon-smoked salmon, and pork belly burnt ends.

Inside, the refreshed dining room- new carpet and custom wood tables from a local craftsman- keeps things cozy while the menu stays grounded in what Michigan diners love, just done to the highest standard.

Kuna’s goal is simple: add happiness to people’s lives, one plate at a time. He talks about smoke like a seasonal Michigan ritual- comforting and familiar, like burning leaves in the fall- and he approaches every service “with fire in his soul,” determined to earn his place in Plymouth every day.
