From Small-Batch Sauces to Award-Winning BBQ
Blue Kuna began in 2016 as a passion project. After more than 25 years in high-pressure kitchens and as a private chef, Randall Kuna set out to craft the perfect small-batch, Michigan-inspired BBQ sauces and rubs.
Plymouth's Hometown Smokehouse
What started in a home kitchen and at local markets has grown into an award-winning smokehouse in Randall’s hometown of Plymouth, Michigan. Today, he slow-smokes premium brisket, pork, and ribs over Michigan hardwood. Every dish pairs with his signature clean-label, vegan, and gluten-free BBQ sauces

Rooted in the Local Community
Randall believes great barbecue starts with great partnerships. He works almost exclusively with other small, local businesses to bring the Blue Kuna menu to life. From the independent mill that supplies his cherry and apple wood, to the nearby farmers, bakers, and artists he collaborates with, every plate served keeps good work and bold flavor right here in Michigan.
